Sonia Indigo & Veenu * Dance & Flute Improvisation

For me, Dance is to closing my eyes and dive into my soul.
The mind is not there anymore, my body moves flowing with the sounds that penetrate my cells.
My entire being travels into a unknown Sacred place,
It’s a travel back into the Womb.
Awakening the force of Life, the spark that fires my flesh, my bones, my entire being,
Until my body is just ashes,
And my Soul free to Be.

Chakras * Ajna

Element: Manas, the mind.
Location: Located at the eyebrow center. At the top of the spinal cord, in the mid brain.
Association: Vijnanamaya kosha, initiates mental development. Pineal gland.
Pranic field: Vyana Vaya, the all pervasive force.
Psychological:
Beeja mantra: Om.
Adhishtana Devata: Om Ajnachakrantharalasthayai Namaha.

Ajna literally means "command or monitoring center". It is also known as the guru chakra. It is the point of confluence where the three main nadis (energetic lines), Ida, Pingala and Sushumna, merge into one stream of consciousness and flow up to sahasrara.
During deep meditation, when all the senses have been withdraw and one enters into the state of shoonya, the void, the guru then guides the aspirant from ajna to sahasrara by issuing commands through this center.
Ajna is also known as the third eye, the eye of Shiva, or the eye of intuition, which gazes inward, rather that outward. It is also called divya chakshu, the divine eye, or jnana chakshu, the eye of wisdom, because it is thought this center that the spiritual aspirant receives revelation and insight into the underlying nature of existence. It is the level at which direct mind to mind communication takes place. The called Telepathy. And the doorway through which one enters the psychic or astral dimension.
Being the center of the mind, ajna chakra represents a higher level of awareness.
When ajna is developed, we begin to acquire psychic powers. Therefore, it is said to resemble a knot which is called Rudra granthi, the knot of Shiva. This knot is symbolic to the attachment to one's psychic personality and to the siddhis which accompany the awakening of ajna chakra. It effectively blocks our spiritual evolution until attachment to psychic phenomena is overcome, and the knot is freed. This means the ego been to much prouwd of ones powers attain in this level of the evolution of the chakras.

The trigger point of ajna, located t the eye brow center, is known as bhrumadhya. This is an important focal point for the practices of meditation, concentration and visualization.
For success in prana vidya, the development of ajna chakra is very important. Unless it is developed to some extend, prana can never b experienced in the form of light. The vision of light is usually first seen at ajna or bhrumadhya, or in chidakasha, the space of consciousness which is directly connected with ajna.
In the practice of prana vidya, ajna acts as the control center for the distribution of prana. If the vision of light at ajna is well developed, one will have no difficulty in visualizing the raising of prana and its movement throughout the body.

Trip Advisor Review * Thank you Mar!

“A real paradise...”
5 of 5 starsReviewed today NEW
The moment I entered Shiva Garden, everything felt so peaceful and relaxed. I had planned to stay just a few days, but ended up staying almost a month. I loved the big garden, with its coconut trees, banana trees, hammocks, swings and tree huts. Every morning I started my day with yoga. I really liked Sonia's way of teaching and her guided meditations. Also an astrology / numerology session with her gave me a lot of insights. Varkala is a perfect place to find the balance between self development, relaxation and social time. Almost everybody who ends up at Shiva Garden, stays much longer than they originally intended. Therefore you really get to know each other and it's so nice to spend time together. Varkala, and especially Shiva Garden, is a place which is pretty difficult to leave...

Chakras * Vishuddhi

Element: Ether, akasha.
Location: At the level of the throat pit and the thyroid gland.
Association: Vijnanamaya kosha, initiates mental development.
Pranic field: Udana, controls the vocals cords and other sensory organs.
Psychological: This center is responsible for our capacity to receive thought vibrations from other people. It can act like a transmissor radio allowing one to tune into the thoughts of those who are both close by or far away.
Beeja mantra: Ham.
Adhishtana Devata: Om Vishnugranthivibhedinyai Namaha.

Vishuddhi is known as the purification center. Into this chakra nectar falls down from bindu visarga (Bindu Visarga is a minor chakra situated at the top of the back od the head. The seat of total creation). In a healthy and active chakra, pure nectar can generate vitality, health and longevity.
When this chakra is activated, we feel cool, sweet drops of nectar dripping down into the throat and causing feeling of blissful intoxication.
By meditating on Vishuddhi, the mind becomes pure and empty, free of thought, like akasha (ether or space).
The ability to neutralize poison, both internally or externally, is one of the powers associated with vishudddhi. At this level, all the poisonous and negative experiences of life can be absorbed and transformed into a state of bliss.
Vishuddhi is also the center for receiving sound vibrations. When Vishuddhi is purified the sense of hearing becomes very sharp, not only through out the ears, but through the mind.
Is known as the fountain of youth.

In the yogic texts it is stated that with the awakening of this center, all diseased states can be reversed, and even an old man can become young. This is because the nectar from bindu , is such a powerful and concentrated form of prana. It is actually the source of life.

Chakras * Anahata

Element: Air
Location: At the level of the heart, in the center of the chest.
Association: Manomaya kosha, controlling the emotions.
Pranic field: Prana, the ascending force that controls the heart and lungs.
Psychological: The hear center is the seat of divine love. It is here that emotion is rechannelled into devotion. Vishnu granti, the second psychic not, representing bondage of emotional attachment, is located here. When this knot is opened, one becomes free of all selfishness, egoistic and emotional attachment, and thereby attains mental and emotional control, equilibrium and peace.
Beeja mantra: Yam.

Anahata means "unstruck" or "unbeaten". This chakra is the seat of anahata nada, the most subtle cosmic sound which is experienced only in the highest state of meditation. This sound is said to be unstruck because it is not caused by any external friction, nor can be heard by the ears, mind or even by the phsyche. It is a transcendental sound which can only be perceived by pure consciousness.
Being the heart center, anahata is responsible for the awakening of refined emotions which are characterized by feelings of universal love.
A person with a developed anahata is generally very sensitive to the feelings of others, and the sense of touch is highly developed. These people have power to heal others either by touch or by radiating energy. Many people who performed miraculous healing, do so through the agency of anahata. This are the kind of people that gives strong hugs, and in woman's, they can have more full breasts and big chest. Normally, they are happy energy people with a sense of love, compassion, understanding and patience. From this chakra is where all the forgiveness steps come.

It is at this level that we become free of fate and begin to control our own destiny. Hence, ate anahata we find the symbol of the kalpa taru, or the wish-fulfilling tree. When this tree starts to fructify, whatever we think or wish comes true.

Chakras * Swadhisthana

Element: Water
Location: At the base of the spine at the level of the coccyx and pubic bone.
Association: Pranamaya kosha (vital or pranic body), and corresponds to the reproductive and urinary systems.
Pranic field: Apana vayu (sub prana moving downwards from the navel the perineo in the lower abdominal region responsible for elimination and reproduction).
Psychological: Is associated with the subconscious mind and, therefore, with drowsiness and sleep.
Of the 3 gunas, swadisthana is influenced by Tamas, lethargy, dullness and ignorance.
When prana activates swadisthana it can increase the desire for pleasure, especially in the form of food and sex. These desires can be an obstacle to the awakening of prana, if we become obsessed by them. We need to develop our willpower in order to pass through this center.
Beeja mantra: Vam.
Adhishtana Devata: Om Brahmagrandhivibhedinyai Namaha.

Swadhisthana, which means "one's" own dwelling place or abode, is the second chakra. It is located very near to mooladhara and is also involved and responsible for awakening of prana shakti.
Swadisthana is considered to be the substrata for individual existence as it is the storehouse of all the latent samskaras and impressions. Therefore, it initially forms a kind of a karmic block which makes it difficult for the awakened prana to pass through this area.

Here is also the point of creation. Can generate a new life, or a new project. It is the force of creativity. When we are able to have a balanced life in a relation ship and sexually, were no to much energy is wasted on sex or the relation ship, we will experience the opening of the spring. From this magic sprint the water of divine creativity will express trough any artistic skill that we may have.
